Thesvy Cashen hails from Zambia but has lived in the USA for over 30 years. She has worked for Seattle Colleges for 5 years, all of which has been in the Corporate and Customized Training Department. Thesvy administers ongoing training projects for clients and has direct contact with the course participants helping them navigate the various processes and training programs.

North Seattle College
Continuing Education & Contract Training Director
Christy has worked at North Seattle College since 2013 overseeing and managing a robust Continuing Education program which offers high quality, affordable non-credit professional and personal enrichment courses geared toward lifelong learners. She has over 10 years experience working in higher education. Prior to moving to Seattle, Christy was the Deputy Director for Continuing Education and Special Programs at Hunter College in New York City. She started her career in higher education as a Program Manager at Teachers College, Columbia University. Christy holds a Master of Arts from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Baruch College, CUNY. She received her undergraduate degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
North Seattle College has offered contract training for King County employees since 2013. Other past clients include Northwest Hospital, Serials Solutions, City of Seattle, and AARP.
Seattle Central College
Continuing Education Director
Gabrielle has worked at Seattle Central College since 2014. In this role she oversees and manages the Continuing Education program, which offers a combination of lifelong learning and professional development classes. She has worked in higher education for over ten years and her experience ranges from designing and delivering leadership training for student leaders to managing professional and personal development programs for adult learners. Gabrielle began her career in Continuing Education at Bellevue College where she managed both the Arts and Design and Personal Enrichment programs. From there, she transitioned to the Corporate and Continuing Education Center at Everett Community College where she managed corporate and contract training.
Gabrielle has a Master’s of Arts in Education from Antioch University, Seattle and a Training Specialist Certification from the University of Washington. She received her undergraduate degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. “I chose the field of education because I value lifelong learning and I want to empower people with the tools and skills they need to have successful careers and meaningful lives.”
Seattle Central College has offered contract training for King County employees since 2013 and has been administering JSP grants with The Part Works, Inc. for the past two years.
South Seattle College
Continuing Education Director
Luisa Motten has worked at South Seattle College since 2001. In this capacity she develops and oversees non credit certificate programs, as well as a large offering of personal enrichment and skills classes that are offered in person and online to the Seattle community.
Prior to coming to South, Luisa was the Program Manager at Philanthropy Northwest, working to network and provide educational opportunities for the region’s grantmakers and corporate funders. Luisa also was Assistant Director for Alumni Relations at the University of Puget Sound and prior to that, Development Manager for Seattle Opera. She holds a Master’s of Arts in Business from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and an undergraduate degree from Smith College in Northampton, MA.
South Seattle College – Georgetown Campus
Interim Director of Corporate and Customized Training
Bob is an experienced leader and project management professional with expertise in helping organizations maximize their resources by providing consultative, value-added training solutions. He is adept at matching customer needs with Seattle College services, continually assessing and communicating project progress with clients. Bob is an expert in customer service, requirements gathering, proposal writing, and grantsmanship.
Bob is a graduate of Cleary University and holds a Master’s degree from the University of South Dakota, with specialization in educational and certificate program development. He is a certified DACUM (Developing a Curriculum) facilitator from The Ohio State University’s Center on Education and Training for Employment (CETE), and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt practitioner. He has worked in higher education and business in the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years creating and maintaining relationships with business, industry, and community partners.
